Code of conduct
TEIC 9.0 is a professional conference committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for every attendee, speaker, sponsor, and staff member.
Respectful participation
All participants are expected to behave professionally and courteously at all times — in conference sessions, at social events, in online channels, and in any interaction connected to TEIC 9.0. We celebrate the diversity of the Nigerian and African event industry: differences in background, experience, gender, age, religion, and professional discipline are a strength, not a source of conflict. Discriminatory language, exclusionary jokes, and personal attacks are not acceptable in any form.
Zero tolerance for harassment
Harassment of any kind — verbal, physical, or online — will not be tolerated. This includes unwelcome physical contact, sustained disruption of sessions, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and inappropriate recording or photography. Consent matters: before photographing or filming another attendee in a personal context, ask. Do not share images or video of another person without their permission. Event photography by our official team is covered by the registration acknowledgement; all other recording should be consensual.
Professional integrity
TEIC 9.0 is a space for honest, good-faith exchange. Misrepresentation of credentials, predatory solicitation of clients or speakers, and plagiarism of shared ideas undermine the community we are building. We ask every delegate to engage with the same integrity they bring to their own clients and events.
Accessibility & inclusion
We are committed to making TEIC 9.0 accessible to all delegates. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us at hello@teic.ng before the event so we can make appropriate arrangements. Venues have been selected with physical accessibility in mind; please reach out if you have concerns about any specific session location.
Reporting concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this code, please report it immediately. You can reach the TEIC 9.0 team at admin@teic.ng or speak directly with any member of the onsite team — identifiable by their TEIC 9.0 staff badges. All reports are treated with discretion. Organisers reserve the right to remove any participant who violates this code from the conference without refund.
